The Bentleyville Bicentennial is scheduled to take place June 30 through July 3, 2016, and this celebration of our town will be filled with fun and memorable events.

The Bentleyville Bicentennial planning effort was taken on by the Bentleyville Area Historical Society, Bentleyville Local Government, Bentworth Community Center, Bentleyville Recreation Board, Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department, Bentleyville American Legion, Washington County Community Foundation, as well as local churches, clubs and interested individuals.

Sheshbazzar Bentley, Jr. founded Bentleyville Borough in 1816 along the banks of Pigeon Creek. Bentleyville, in Washington County, is part of the Bentworth School District and has a population of 2,600.
