The Elizabeth Township Police Department has hired three new officers to the force. White Oak Magistrate Tom Miller swore in Patrolman John Patterson, Patrolman Chris McBride, and Patrolman Jordan Angelo.

Commissioner Claire Bryce stated that all bills are in order but would like to address the solicitor of the zoning board about discussing the fees at a later time. Bryce also asked Code Enforcement Officer John Snelson if he looked into the yard in Boston where a man is beginning to do car repairs on his property again.

Elizabeth Township received a grant for 2 AEDs; one is located in the lobby of the municipal building and the other is located in the main building of the community center.

Commissioner Bryce inquired about the time frame of when the ice skating rink will be up. Paul Saxon responded that it is way too early for that. Last year it was put up too early and many problems arose. As long as the frame work is put up before the ground gets a hard freeze, everything should be fine. All materials have been received so they are prepared. Swede Construction will once again donate the lights for the rink.

The Road Department says the Schweitzer Road Project has begun and is in the process of getting a 250 foot pipe installed. Patterson Road is complete and once the guard rails are up; the road will reopen. The amount owed to Swede Construction is $42,988.95 and reimbursement from the grant by the county is expected. The department is still waiting on the milling machine to come in so that Fleming can get paved before the weather gets bad. Forest Hill Road will need work done on it, as it is in the process of sinking. Mr. Paul Mackey said the township received their last load of the first order of salt for the start of winter. He said the salt shed is full and he is hoping that it is the only order they will need to put in.

During Public Announcements, Mr. George stood and stated that Constitution Boulevard needs to be fixed and that he will be back every month until something gets done. Commissioner Beckowitz said they will look into a road specialist for that specific road.

Resident Frank stood to thank the fire companies, the commissioners who donated, and the local businesses for their participation in the Butlers Golf Course Wounded Warrior Outing. They had 12,397 golfers and 567 wounded warriors. Butlers Golf Course alone raised over $21,000 and after 3 years of doing this, they have raised $1,024,227 for the wounded warriors.

Various motions were passed before the meeting was adjourned.
