Municipal News

The Borough of Jefferson Hills is asking for families, churches, schools and community groups to participate in an Earth Day cleanup of litter on Borough roads on Saturday, April 23 between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. at the Municipal Center, 925 Old Clairton Road, Jefferson Hills. Gloves, vests and bags will be distributed and instructions on safe collection will be given. Borough police, fire and EMS will help ensure safety to volunteers. Please contact Jane Milner to volunteer or for more information. jmilner@jeffersonhills.net

The West Jefferson Hills Historical Society will present their monthly program on Wednesday, March 23 at the Municipal Center Community Room at 7:00 p.m. Topic is "Civil War Gold" Steamship Republic Story-Video and discussion by historian Dick Gaetano.

Registration begins April 15 to June 1 in the Jefferson Hills Library, 925 Old Clairton Road, for the Borough of Jefferson Hills Summer Recreation Program for children ages 5-8 at Gill Hall Park and ages 9-12 at 885 Andrew Reilly Park. Cost per child is $35. Registration is limited and on a first-come basis. Summer Recreation begins weekday mornings 9:00 a.m. to Noon from July 5 through July 29.

The Borough of Jefferson Hills will hire adults age 18 and over to serve as counselors for the Borough's Summer Recreation Program weekday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to Noon at 885 Andrew Reilly Park and Gill Hall Park. Applications for employment can be picked up at Jefferson Hills Library or the Borough offices from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays.
