The Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians have announced the topic for their annual history writing contest. The topic for both levels is “The Role of the Irish in World War 1.”
Entries must be submitted by November 15, 2016. Level 1 includes grades 6, 7, and 8 with a top prize of $500. Level 2 includes grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 with a top prize of $1,000. Students in parochial, private, public schools or who are home-schooled are eligible to participate.
