The Community College of Allegheny County’s South Campus will offer an introduction to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) course in the spring 2018 semester.
The three-credit course will cover current commercial regulations, the national airspace system, weather, loading, performance and operations in accordance with FAA Airmen Certification Standards. Upon completion, students will be prepared to take the FAA remote pilot certification examination to become drone pilots. Students will also be introduced to the campus’ new FAA-approved outdoor flight area where flight techniques will be demonstrated.
