Donation Made to Clairton City School District

For the 2nd year in a row Greater Pittsburgh Vascular Associates (GPVA) donated 1% of their profits to Clairton City School District’s Greater Pittsburgh Vascular School Partnership Incentive Fund. The fund will create incentives for positive situations, bully prevention, high achievements, attendance, STEAM/STEM advancement, student success/academic goals and testing goals. This donation will help all students in the district K-12.

The goal of this fund is to create a long lasting community partnership with Greater Pittsburgh Vascular Associates and Clairton City School District. Greater Pittsburgh Vascular Associates is an outpatient facility specializing in cardiac care, arterial and venous disease, with a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Greater Pittsburgh Vascular Associates now has four locations Jefferson Hills, Monroeville, Jeannette, and Uniontown PA.

Clairton High School Valedictorian Aquaveon Jackson and Salutatorian Vincent Brownfield

Inspirational Speeches Given at Commencement Ceremony

Congratulations to Clairton High School Valedictorian Aquaveon Jackson and Salutatorian Vincent Brownfield. Both gave inspriational speeches to their classmates on June 7. Both Jackson and Brownfield will be attending Penn State University Park beginning in the summer months.

Claairton Students at Camp Guyasuta

Teachers and Students Work Together at Camp Guyasuta Field Trip

6th, 7th, and 8th grade students along with Ms. Bonville, Ms. Wells, Mr. McCorvey, and Mr. Ulmer, attended a field trip to Camp Guyasuta to participate in team building, self-esteem, and leadership activities. Students and teachers worked together to overcome obstacles and fears, while building trust and stronger relationships with one another. Clairton Middle Schoolers proudly represented the city and school with their positive attitudes, and willingness and eagerness to try new adventures.

Clairton Elementary Honors Local Police

Clairton Elementary wanted to say Thank You to Clairton Police Department in honor of 2019 Police Week. Officer Nolte and Officer Miller came and visited the school several times. On this visit they also picked up thank you cards and a special care package for the CPD! Thank you for your dedication. Pictured above are Officer Nolte, Officer Miller, and several first graders.
