Charleroi’s Veterans Day Parade will also be a retirement party for one of its hometown heroes, who will act as Grand Marshall for the November 7th event. United States Army Lieutenant Colonel Peter Kalamaras Jr. will lead the parade through Downtown Charleroi starting at 2 p.m.

The Charleroi Area Historical Society, Inc., a recognized 501©3 non-profit, along with a committee of citizens chaired by Nancy Ellis and in cooperation with the Borough of Charleroi, the members of Charleroi Veterans Council, and varied Charleroi organizations such as The Charleroi Belgian Club, The Friends of the Coyle, and the Rotary Club, are announcing that a Charleroi patriotic veterans banner program has been initiated.
