Monongahela High School Class of 1959 celebrated its 55th anniversary reunion on August 8 and 9.

The Heritage Players will present the musical "Little Women" on October 17, 18, 24, and 25 at 8 p.m. and on October 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. at the Seton Center, 1900 Pioneer Ave., Brookline.

Pleasant Hills resident Christy Hazaga has been fighting a rare and particularly malicious type of cancer called paraganglioma for more than seven years. Her condition is a result of a genetic mutation received from her father, and Christy's sister, Veronica, passed away from the same type of cancer in 2002.
