St. Clair Hospital is sponsoring a free skin cancer screening from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, October 4 in Suite 200 of the St. Clair Hospital Outpatient Center – Village Square, 2000 Oxford Drive, Bethel Park.

Board-certified dermatologists David A. Horvath, M.D. and Brian D. Horvath, M.D., M.P.H., along with Lisa M. Sullivan, PA-C of South Hills-based Horvath Dermatology Associates, will be performing targeted screenings.

The Belle Vernon Area Reality Tour will present their first reality tour on Monday, September 8, 6 to 9 p.m. at the Belle Vernon Area High School, 425 Crest Ave., Belle Vernon.

The Reality Tour Drug Prevention Program was created by Norma Norris of Butler, PA in 2003 and is now promoted through the non-profit CANDLE, Inc. The Belle Vernon Area Reality Tour has purchased the Reality Tour Program for use in Westmoreland County. The tour is recommended for children ages 10 and up when accompanied by a parent. Advance registration is necessary, as space is limited. Parental consent is also required.

St. Clair Hospital is conducting its annual free prostate screenings for men ages 55 and older.

Participants must pre-register and attend an educational seminar on prostate cancer and screenings at 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 16 at St. Clair Hospital's main campus in Mt. Lebanon. Following the seminar, personnel from the hospital's laboratory will collect blood samples from participants to obtain PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels.
