During the pre-game warm-ups at the Ringgold Rams-Knoch game, the Varsity and JV players were joined on the field by players from the Mon Valley Midget Football League (MVMFL). Players from the Union-Finley Bears and the Ringgold youth football organization took part in the pre-game stretches and warm-up drills under the scrutiny of the Rams coaching staff, including Head Coach Nick Milchovich.

The family of long-time Belle Vernon Area basketball and baseball coach Don Asmonga has announced incorporation of a non-profit foundation in his memory. A BVA coach from 1965 through 1988, Asmonga won 279 basketball games including the 1978 WPIAL title. His baseball teams also were steady contenders during his long tenure.
